We walk a few kilometers around the ship after eating. During sunny days we take time from walking around Deck 3 to sit in several of the chaise lounges. The ocean is mesmerizing. It seems a long time since we spied another ship, or even a whale or fishes. On occasion, we do spot heroic birds that have forsaken land for a while.

At 10 o'clock there's generally a lecture or port explanation in the Visa Lounge. Today, our location guide explained about the three stops in New Caledonia. Of more immediate concern and anticipation is our stop in American Somoa tomorrow. Since leaving San Francisco we've been on the open water for ten out of the last twelve days. Just like a cooped-up tot on a family road trip, I'm ready to run about a bit as soon as the gangway opens.

We have been eating lunch at around 1:00 PM with a bit more exercise after. That brings us right up to a little nap at around 2:00. More often than not, it lasts at least an hour and a half. After tea, it's gym time for Jay and I swim or read near one of the pools. We still keep our 7:45 appointments for formal dinners in the dining room. A late show of some sort in the main lounge starts at 10:00 PM. We then hit the late evening buffet, more out of curiosity than hunger. There's always room for a cheese platter though, right?
People can get used to anything. If travel has taught me anything; it's flexibility. We have had so many new life experiences in our lives.
