We are pretty traditional, so we've decided to spend a few days by the Red Sea near some green palms.
We have booked three nights at an all-inclusive in Hurghada, Egypt. We'll catch a bus down next Thursday and come back the same way on the following Sunday. The Coptic Christians of Egypt celebrate the orthodox Christmas in January. I bet the resort will still have a tree in the lobby though. I'll Instagram that next week if I find one. Then, I'll upload one of me sipping a cold beer on warm sand.
We had a little experience at a beach in Egypt last year, but that was over on the Sinai in the small city of Dahab on the Gulf of Aqaba. (Here's a blog entry written at the time from there.)
