That said, we do have a few friends coming over for dinner next weekend and that group is always unusually thirsty. I thought I'd stock up on a little at a blasted, provincial liquor store. It looked as though there was summer clearance on some Bowen Island variety packs, not that we have any such thing as cheap alcohol in BC! (I'll have to try some samples before the visitors come, so I will know which type to get rid of.) I had planned on buying a case of Kona Castaway IPA. It's my new favourite in a mass-produced beers, but would have cost CA$56 before the recycling deposit.
