A Picnic at Deep Cove

Yesterday by email, I commented on what a nice day it was to a friend who lives downtown. He suggested we all go out for a picnic today to enjoy the expected gorgeous day. I mentioned that we'd not visited Deep Cove this year. It's a village on the east edge of North Vancouver.


We found out that the #211 express bus runs right from the Burrard SkyTrain Station. So, we got there at a bit before noon this morning and met up with Tim and Jiwan. Fourty-seven minutes later we got off the bus at our destination.





The weather really was fantastic with cloudless skies and a perfect room temperature. Our picnic table had a great view and fortunately Tim brought several Red Racer IPA cans for him and me. We all lounged around the bay and caught the 4:36 bus back to Vancouver. Within the 90-minute limit of our transit tickets were were back home in New Westminster.

It was such a nice day we vowed to do it again, later.
