These pigs were resting peacefully. They were among the animal guests at the Queen's Park petting zoo today. The New Westminster tradition always kicks off over this long weekend. A quick Internet search and a calculator have convinced me that this unique city event has been running for 109 years.
The animals are there all summer through Labour Day weekend. The park and animal enclosure were crowded with families today as the kids' adventure playground is next door. The spray pools were running too.

I am happy to be hanging around New West at this time of year.
