In all those years, it seems I have apparently learned nothing. For you see, we had one tiny little day of rain here yesterday and I just about freaked out. That is just one in two whole months! If there's one thing that living in the Lower Mainland should have taught me, it'd be how to handle a rainy day. I missed blue sky. I longed for warm sunshine. I shivered even though the temperature was 68F degrees.
In retrospect, I feel a little ashamed and a little afraid. I hope BC doesn't call and want my driver's licence back.
A quick walk around the neighbourhood this morning seems to have fixed everything. I noticed that the River Cuale is swollen by all of yesterday's precipitation. I grooved a bit with new music on my phone and big headphones over my ears. Oh, and I forgot, the most important thing: the sun in my face!
