I bought a one-liter box of a local brand a few weeks back. It seems as if Walmart can't keep them on the shelf. The label boasted something like, "El vino mas vendido en todo Mexico."
I spotted a green, glass jug of the same type when we visited the Macro Plaza store this morning. It is a full 5% more than a gallon as it contains four liters. I just opened it to have with lunch and it's fine. It tastes bright and crisp with just a hint of frugality. I paid $US 11.33 for it.
We went and came back on buses through the Highway 200 tunnels. It is really convenient and the scenery is nice.
Later in the afternoon, I went to soak up a little sun. I feel pretty 'old school' using just a towel. Nowadays, I see a lot of folks carting around lightweight, folding chairs. Of course, all the restaurants and bars have tables as well as chaise lounges out near the water. I went for a little nap but didn't really sleep. I ventured into the surf only once.
Near the pier the water is calmer and warmer. I went in just once because when I was coming back to land, I noticed a dozen, 2-inch jelly fish. The sun dried me off completely before I walked the 15 minutes back to the apartment. My hair looked pretty wild with the ponytail untied and after the salt water.
