Although I haven't really been in a tunnel, I've definitely noticed a light up ahead. I see a cause for imminent celebration.As a reminder to myself, I added a Facebook status update at 8 o'clock this morning which plainly stated,
I was walking across the BCIT Burnaby campus at the time.
It meant that I'd be treading this patch of ground as a PTS instructor only eleven more times. My class meets on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays and will finish up on October 22nd. So, should you come across a single number on a future Facebook update or in my Twitter feed, it may well stand for the number of remaining classes I have before retirement.
It felt even more real today as after class, I went to HR to have my pension application verified. It ain't gonna be much, but it'll supplement our other, vast financial holdings. (cough cough)
