We walked by the Art Gallery where lots of pot was publicly for sale at the annual Cannabis Day. We waited for a #50 bus to head to Granville Island but they were all full. We got on a Davie Street bus instead and just checked out English Bay.

As is often our custom, we had lunch at Stepho's on Davie before going back to cross the Cambie Bridge. I probably hadn't been to Granville Island since last summer. This is surely the perfect time of year to be in this city. There were lots of people, everywhere. I felt so happy to be here. I posted this on my Facebook wall, "Why would anyone choose to live elsewhere?"

We came back to New Westminster in the late afternoon. There's still something to look forward to. We will witness our local fireworks down here by the river at 10:15 tonight. Happy 147th, Canada! Glad I'm here to help celebrate it.
