Day 26 - Floating in the Dead Sea

What a perfect day to head back towards the Jordanian border! We found the location where all the shared taxi-vans leave from. It was just a few hundred meters from the hotel under a shopping center. We arranged to travel to Jericho with passengers and then have the driver bring us to the Dead Sea. After we had enjoyed the waters, he would bring us back to Bethlehem.

So that is exactly what happened.







We got back a little after one in the afternoon. We were ready to eat lunch right in Bethlehem upon our return. There was time for a little afternoon nap. Towards evening we walked around the now familiar streets near Manger Square. Something was going on at the Milk Grotto Church but we got there a little too late. There seems to be a cooler wind this evening. My phone suggests that it is 20c right at the moment.

In our last day before going to Tel Aviv, we will probably head back into Jerusalem. It is a fascinating place which merits visiting much longer than the chance we've had so far.
