We're Definitely Growing Up!

Many times I've implied that I like living in an urban environment due to the constant change. Downtown New Westminster has been undergoing tremendous changes since we first arrived in 1996. I can compare that to some places where nary a scene looks different after the same number of years.

Of course, I've now been here long enough so that they seem more pronounced. Today, I walked past the north western corner of Sixth and Carnarvon Streets. I live just a little ways down the street near Fourth. (It's the tall building most in the center of the frame.) So, today I walked in awe past where buildings were recently demolished. The area is being prepared for a new residential high-rise which will end up being taller than the recent tower just across Sixth.
