Living in a Virtual Winter

I'm thinking it's cold. Then, I remember that it is really others who must contend with that situation.

I see teacher friends in my Facebook feed dealing with school closures. I see snowstorms in large areas of the continent on television. I get convinced we are having severe January weather.



Then, I glance at the AccurWeather widget on my tablet and am reminded it is currently 8C (46F) degrees outside. Oh yeah, I live in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. I had nearly convinced myself that it seemed a lot cooler when I walked uptown to the library through Tipperary Park today.
