Lately, I have not been walking uptown daily. I was into a routine last summer and I know I felt the better for it. It is a several hundred foot rise in terrain over the course of just a mile, so even a little walk is good cardio.I had no critical errands to do uptown but it was nice walking into the London Drugs to see what is currently on sale. After, I walked through the mall on the way to the public library. I had on my big Sony headphones and had a Songza playlist blaring. It was a nice feeling seeing all the folks out. I came back down Eighth Street, then returned via Columbia.
I was in no rush. In fact, the leisurely exploration took a few hours. I am glad I got out. I always feel better after I do.
