So much of what I try to put onto this page could have little connection to its possible viewers. I'm grateful to contemplate how far I've come and how much more I know a little about the great big world. I'm sounding a bit pessimistic about trying to share but I must step back. People learn in many ways. For example, I can put two photos from my day, and then it's as if a distant reader saw them too. Now that's something which can motivate me! (Oh, and thank you for your words of encouragement, Lynne.)
I spent a bit of time at the back door this afternoon watching the bird feeder. Lots of birds stopped but so many parrots together prompted me to get my camera.
There are so many, many things which grow here that many won't know. Today at the Sunday Fair, we got woodapples. They're a favourite with a hard shell that must be cracked open. The taste is distinctive and I am especially fond of the jam on my toast in the morning.
I think I wrote something similar when here in 2009 as well.
