Flickr and I go back a long ways. Even if I post a photo elsewhere else online, I make sure that a copy gets saved to the online photo site as well. It has become the definitive collection of my personal images.
Back on Canada Day weekend, I began my eighth year of posting daily photos. If I stop to think about it, it's a little scary. I have saved over 2,500 images, just one day at a time, in a special set. Here is text copied directly from my Flickr project's page:
You are now inside one of my numerous Flickr special sets.
In this area, each photo represents a day in my life. Think of this as my album for the parade of existence. One scene from every single day ends up here as a digital file.
These may be stunningly pretentious or masterfully pedestrian. The goal is not to showcase fantastic images; it's simply a means for me to augment fading memories.
These photos or clips are arranged in chronological order. Let your mouse hover over the thumbnail so as to show the date. A random collection of eight of these images are always found in row above my entries at my eJournal and images too.
I've not missed a single day since starting this project on July 1, 2005.
