I think all people are naturally drawn to food cooked while being immersed in hot oil. The type of oil may vary, but the love of food readied this way must be universal. Jay says that people would eat sawdust as long as it were fried. These, however, are fish cutlets for use in Sri Lankan lamprais.
We have guests coming for dinner as it's actually a duck swap day. I haven't mentioned this in my eJournal and images for a couple of years.
