Today, I am trying to type this entry on my tablet. I didn't download the blogging app until this week as I seldom type long passages on the virtual keyboard. Still the idea of bringing both the netbook and the tablet on a one-week vacation seems like overkill, especially since we're only bringing backpacks as carry-on. I'm too much of a cheapskate to give an airline an extra 25 bucks for a single piece of checked luggage. I have proven capability of surviving at least six weeks from a small bag.
The power cords and adapters are heavier than either of the Net devices. If it weren't for the video and digital cameras, all one really needs is a change of clothes. I'd be hard pressed to pack clothes that'd equal today's baggage fees anyway. Soap and sundries are cheap wherever one travels. It's better to save space for a souvenir or two on the return trip.
