My Orientation

I just looked at my most recent photos uploaded to Flickr and found that 10 of the last 18 were shot in a portrait orientation. That number seems larger than my historical average, although I didn't go through the 8,100 images for an actual count. As well, I noted that on the most recent page, the majority were taken with my phone rather than a dedicated camera. I do wonder if there's a connection between these two findings. I think I may take fewer pictures in landscape mode as I am used to holding my phone the other way.

I've, in fact, always found it curious with my Olympus that when I do need to frame vertically, I do not always turn the camera in the same direction. I have found over the years that I have to rotate the images right or left in equal frequency. That's odd, isn't it?

Here's a camera phone photo take from MY park this morning. I am so happy that I can quickly walk up near the New Westminster City Hall and completely forget I live in a busy urban area. That area is like a precious gift.


Tipperary Park is about three blocks uphill from our apartment.
