This was our last 'normal' day in Beijing. As tomorrow we will have the complete day but leave by train to Xi'an tomorrow evening at 8:30 pm by train. Even though that give a whole lot of time between breakfast and departure, we do also need to check out of the hotel at noon tomorrow.
We decided to use the last full day to visit the Temple of Heaven.
After a little nap time the hotel we wanted to see the site of the Summer Olympics. The two main structures: the Bird's Nest and the Aquatic Center are attractions. Getting there was easy and as it got dark the buildings came to life.
