The sun was out and I fell in love again with where I live. We went down to the big city to see what the St. Patrick's parade looked like this year. I rode transit for free as Jay has a monthly pass which allows a guest on Sundays.
It was good to get out even though the breeze was a little cool. That's a common winter situation here; either it's rainy and warm or clear but colder. Being the latter, I reveled in the splendid view of the mountains. This honestly has got to be one of the most beautiful cities I've ever visited. Add that to the fact that the snow stays mostly on the mountains where it belongs. That means the grass stays visible and green year round. Lastly, Vancouver's just the right size, as Goldilocks might say. It's large enough for a little of everything good but not big enough to have too much of what would make it bad.
Oh yeah, and it's in Canada.
