Today was painless, it's the rest of the year when it hurts! I made sure I filled in all the necessary boxes and eventually pressed enter to Netfile our income taxes. The harder part was paying in the thousands over the course of 2010.
I've always done income taxes in Canada by myself and it's always been with PC software. I bought this TurboTax CD in February. It is produced by Intuit Canada even though up to this version it used to be called QuickTax. It does an excellent job of carrying forward all data from previous years.
I know I could probably use an online, web-based tax product but I rather like physically putting in an installation disc. I don't get a chance to often do that in today's computer environment. I also know I could download the installation file from the Internet, yet I seem to get a better deal by waiting until late February and finding it on sale at a big box store.
