As I was sliding by the computer, I noticed a chat message in Facebook. How in the hell can some people manage by sticking a computer in a bedroom or in an extra space? My electronic activities are a part of life. This apartment is less than 800 sq ft but I must have access to the Internet right in the living room. That puts me about four meters away from the television, bathroom, and refrigerator. Essentially all things necessary to life are almost literally within arm's reach.
Anyway, I happened to spot the chat request. It was Mr. Ken Greenbaum. Elsewhere in the blog, I've mentioned this name. Ken was our fifth grade teacher in Sunapee, NH. He inquired about Bret, a classmate who lives down in Seattle. I was able to send some flickr picture links (like this one) right in the chat window. The last time I saw Ken was when he and his wife were in Vancouver for an Alaskan cruise. I'll add a picture taken the day I met them. They graciously treated me to lunch at the Spaghetti Factory in Gastown. It was August 8, 2005.
