No One May Know!

I scanned a picture with me in it. It was in a shoebox of old things I once got from my father. I am a little sad knowing that there's probably nobody who can help me figure out or verify the location it was taken. I can do a little better with the date as the back of the old photo had the number 1/11/64 in my mother's handwriting. The condition of the photo was very poor probably due to being stored in a damp place. I was a bit surprised I could add so many details by simply playing with the contrast in my graphics-editing program.


I have only a slight hypothesis about this picture. I faintly remember my 'great uncle' Sylvester Kiggins having a community store in Goshen, New Hampshire. It was right on a corner. The turn off may have been at Brook Road, or so Google Earth says. I got 'Sylvester' as my middle name due to this man. He lived to be over 100 years old but I know little about his life. I'll have to remember to ask my father when I call next week.

The original copy is a bit larger than this one and I was able to see copy of Roget's Thesaurus near me. Look at all those magazines! No wonder they became my favourite source of reading material early on.
