We walked across the Cleveland Dam, then down the trail. The dam holds back one of three main resevoirs for the Metro Vancouver water system. It's a fairly deep gorge. Along the path there was a turn off to see Grampa Capilano which is an old Douglas fir tree. Actually, it is 'very' old. It's humbling being next to something that's been alive for over 500 years. Was I thinking my own 50th is going to be some sort of big deal?
We completed the walk across a bridge to the Capilano Salmon Hatchery. Then, it was back up the hill to the parking lot. I am so happy it's not winter anymore.
