I get up early so my schedule will match up with the world. I believe I'd keep very different hours if kept to my own devices. In fact, I just looked at Wikipedia's entry of
Circadian rhythms. (I know, I know. It sounds like a musical group with lots of percussion.) What I most remember from the data is that were it not for the standard rotation of the earth, we'd probably not have 24-hour patterns. Of course, it makes perfect sense to adapt to one's environment. Electric lights have now made it possible to live whatever hours one wants, but it's a safe bet to stick with everybody else if for nothing more than peer pressure.

Anyway, I was afforded this view for my
Daily Picture Parade from the balcony this morning. I see the image as one of the only positive aspects of getting up before the sun.
