Most people -- when thinking of Canada -- think snow. Some would be surprised to know that in the BC's Lower Mainland it is very rare to have snow on the ground. During some winters a dusting or more can occur but seldom does anything stay on the ground for more than a day.
However, thanks to Hollywood magic, the scene below appears blanketed. Well, in a way, it was. These houses are a few blocks from where I live; however, the blanket wasn't frozen precipitation. Thanks to a hardworking crew of movie people, the apparent snow in this scene fell on these few abodes only!
