Day 23 - We decided early in the morning that we'll move on tomorrow. We intentionally left the last bit our travel dates through southeastern Europe open. We have decided to spend a bit more time in Bucharest, Romania than we originally scheduled. This morning we booked a bus for tomorrow morning and an extra three nights in our planned hotel in that capital city.
Varna is pleasant. We love the old town and how it's walkable. We love the laidback feeling of being on the Black Sea coast. But we think that three nights will have been sufficient here. We did make use of all our time in town today. It's so easy to stroll with all the other folks and spend time in parks and sitting in public spaces. We did hours of that.
We even watched sprats and fish being delivered near the bus stop from our hotel window. And we loved the hours spent walking through town.
I can see why tourists come here to spend the warm summers.
We might see this area again someday. However, we will be on a Pegasus Bus at 9:35 and expect to get off in Bucharest, Romania at around 2:30 tomorrow afternoon. That will give us a total of seven nights in My Continental Hotel. Hopefully, that will give us a chance to see a big chunk of the big city and perhaps get to take some day trips out of town.
