We were up early enough so that by 9:30 we walked out and realized we still had enough time left on yesterday's bus tickets to ride up to the north part of the Strip on the bus. We got off at the Venetian to walk around and take a look inside this year.
It is weird that we will actually be in Venice, Italy again later THIS MONTH. The fake one here is still mighty impressive insofar that it took a great deal of dedication to copy bits of the original.
We ducked out of the Venetian to look towards the Sphere because we had tickets for the 5:00 pm show of Postcard from Earth.
We walked back all the way to our end of Las Vegas Blvd. We've been putting on over 12 kilometers per day. On the return trip, we made sure to say hello again to the flamingos in The Flamingo.
This afternoon is started to rain hard. In fact, this is the most rain in one day since the year of 1969. We had to take an Uber to and back from The Sphere. We got there in plenty of time to linger in the vast lobby and listen to the AI answered by the robots.
The actual movie presentation was impressive. What a great screen that wraps up the inside of the dome to give a vast vista of the natural and human clips! The storyline was a bit contrived but it was worth the pricy ticket just to view the movie even though it was less than an hour. As well as overwhelming visuals, the auditory and immersive environment provided a big wow-factor. The seating itself is a bit of an experience and a pretty hardcore climb for elderly visitors.
This pretty much ends our short trip to Vegas this year. We will be heading home on WestJet tomorrow afternoon.
