We're not used to getting up early. We're definitely not used to rubbing arms with early morning commuters on their way to work on a SkyTrain. We left the apartment at 6:40 am and got to the airport about an hour later. Jay wasn't able to get his boarding pass online and we discovered that he got one with an SSSS. His random, extra security didn't take long at all. Our flight boarded early and we were flying by the time of our scheduled departure on WestJet at 9:45.
It was an easy flight into Vegas although a bit bumpy at the last moments. We got an Uber and quickly checked into the Excalibur at around 1:00 pm. Because we stayed here at this end of the strip last September, we knew our way around. We went to the Panda Express in a food court on the other side of the MGM. We shared a three-choice with rice because in Vegas everything is big enough to share. Go big or go home (but return, please.)
We're looking south from our room today. We can see mostly the Luxor and Mandalay. But we went outside although it was a balmy 31C today.
We had tickets to Mad Apple by Cirque Du Soleil. It was in the New York, New York property. It's the most 'adult' Cirque in town, meaning the comedians' topics. Lots of action and colour during the show. The show was a bit scary because some of the acrobatics seems so unsafe to a viewer.

We didn't get to bed until after midnight.
