In 2025, we're no longer able to stuff enough in two backpacks for such an adventure. We are resorting to also checking in an additional carry-on size piece. As I like to add, as seniors we need to ensure enough space for medications and the blood pressure cuff!
We're on an Edelweiss Air departure out of YVR at 4:20 pm today. It connects through Zurich to our destination of Venice, Italy. We should be able to check in at Hotel Guerrini at around 3:00 pm on Monday. We only stay there two nights before heading off towards Bucharest, Romania. Our trip through the Balkans is on-our-own and will be via rail and bus service. It'll involve fewer creature comforts than those who travelled on the historic Orient Express.
The laptop is packed. I should not have trouble adding daily entries to 'my eJournal and images' during our journey. This is how we can easily review our trip in the future. The trips captured in this space are a joy for us to review as years have come and gone. You may follow along as I add the short journal entries.
