Day 076: This is the second Saturday we've spent in Cape Town. I love the fact we are in the center of downtown. It is easy to walk around this city and we often do. I also appreciate this type of visit where we have a whole month to live in the location. This makes for less of a hectic, see-everything-today, type of learning experience.
We'd not walked by the old Cape Town City Hall from 1905. It's now used as a venue by the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra for concerts and other events. We'd also not seen the location of the Castle of Good Hope (a 17th Century Fort) until this morning. They're only about a kilometer from where we're staying.
We have the time to explore the area on our own time. We will also get a chance to feel as though we have actually lived in Cape Town for a bit. This seems so much better than a few rushed weeks at a new location!
