Day 042: Yesterday was the longest day of the year in Mauritius. We clocked in nearly thirteen and a half hours of daylight. Because we're 20° south of the equator, our days will start getting shorter from today. That's okay because it puts us in South Africa from mid-January to mid-March. Those dates will be the equivalent of mid-July to mid-September in the northern hemisphere.
We walked on the local beach today for about six kilometers. Then, Jay and I did return for the sunset viewing as is our custom in Flic en Flac. However, I've grown tired of snapping picture-perfect sunsets over the Indian Ocean already.
Hope your weather today was just perfect too.
