Final Visit to Our Carrefour Supermarket

Day 41 - Jay, his sisters, and I have just returned from a short walk over to the BurJuman Mall. We've walked through one section of that mall nearly every day since getting here. As well as our supermarket, we use the mall to enter the underground Metro Station. It's easy because it is one of two stations where a rider can access both the Red and Green Lines.

   

We got to Dubai two weeks ago yesterday and we will leave tomorrow afternoon. We have our boarding passes and the majority of the luggage is packed. The ladies were pretty accurate in all their shopping as we're going to be pretty darned close to our maximum allowance of 100 kg of checked bags. I'm sure the carry-on bags will be maxed out too.

We have an afternoon flight, so we'll stay at the apartment until noon.  Then, we can leisurely take a taxi ride and check-in.  Our plane is supposed to depart at 4:10 pm.  Sri Lanka is about four and a half hours away and in a time zone that's an hour and a half ahead.  We are due to get to Colombo at around 10:10 pm.
