Day 19 - Jay and I usually walk around the circumference of little Biera Lake when in Colombo. The area has a great deal of high-end residential and shopping nearby. The path around the lake itself is in dire need of a little tender-loving care. The city of Colombo has a lot of waterfront both on the ocean and on inner lakes and lagoons.
We go to see nature, but the Colombo City Centre Mall is always a nice place to cool off before heading back.
Speaking of malls: Last evening we went to see the new Havelock City Mall. There were a lot of people but it was so new that a lot of shops weren't even open. When inside a heavy, heavy thunderstorm arrived. We tried to get back to elder sister's home but no rideshare drivers were available. We had to wait at least a half hour with both Uber and the Pick-Me apps running before a driver accepted. We came home on dark streets in pouring rain. Even a commuter train blocked our way for about 10 minutes. Finally, we got to Nugegoda!
