We had an invitation to dinner. This afternoon we headed to Vancouver's West End to meet with the 'duck gang'. These were the fellows we joined on an Alaskan cruise precisely a month ago. We had Jiwan's grandmother's grandmother's chicken recipe. Well, maybe not really. However, family recipes sound best if they have been passed down for generations.
Everything was nice and the basmati rice was so pillow-like. Tim's chiffon cake was just what I needed after our little walk to the deck of the Burrard Bridge. The photo above was taken during our walk. The smoke wasn't too bad at the time but it did affect the light of the late-day sun.
We officially took the rubber ducks and they're here in New Westminster. That means we have to invite the guys to dinner. We do seem to be running out of summer, and time when we're all in the area. We decided to have everyone in New West in a couple of weeks. After we get rid of them, the ducks get a chance to spend the winter in Richmond, again!
