Day 2 - Catching our Frankfurt airport transfer was tight but it worked. We had to transfer from terminal C to A by shuttle bus. Of course, it was easy to get stamped into Europe.
Our flight to Nice was smaller and fairly full.
We got out and had already decided that a tram was the way to go. We got on Line 2 (at the airport) and switched to Line 1 as our directions to the apartment had directions from the Nice Train Station. At first, we were a bit lost and had to ask a guy for guidance, but as soon as we discovered the original old station section getting here only took a couple of minutes.
A kindly, older French lady met us right in Apartment 52, on the fourth floor on #8 Av. Durante. Her English was better than our French but we figured out all the particulars needed for a one-month stay here.
It took a bit of time to unpack the single large suitcase we brought. Our carryons were emptied too. Having nice long showers seemed like a blessing. Not long after getting settled we went out for initial groceries.
I'm finishing this a bit after 7:00 pm. I think we will be in bed very soon. We got little sleep on our nine hours in the cramped seat on the flight from YVR to Europe.
