Day 72 - Summer is nice for many reasons. One that I appreciate is not having to put on extra clothing before heading out the door. There is something special about wearing shorts and a t-shirt every day.
For the pictures above, we looked at Google Maps for a park further out on our line of the subway, somewhere we'd not yet visited. We chose to exit at Acoyte and walk back to the Rio de Janeiro station. This allowed us to see all the people enjoying themselves in Parque Rivadavia. We then returned home by the 10-minute ride on the subway.
The several pictures below were taken this morning. This required no travel at all. We are right at the end of the park in front of the Argentinian Congress building. On Sundays only, some vendors set up to sell fresh vegetables and other produce. In addition, I wanted a photo in front of an enormous park tree. It must be at least 2 meters around at the base. I couldn't hug it if I wanted to.
I love winter away not because we're avoiding snow. None usually sticks on the ground in our part of British Columbia. I like getting away so my feet can relax in sandals when outside.
