Day 16 - I had an afternoon nap that lasted for over three and a half hours! I didn't realize just how tiring our Machu Picchu experience was.
We look forward to our 8:00 pm dinners in the main dining hall. The food has been terrific and the presentation of our meals fantastic on this journey. Moreover, we will have just a few more evenings with our special, new table friends. The stories told and humour at the table seem to often make our day. We, of course, will be going on to Buenos Aires. However, our tablemates will be leaving in Santiago on December 6th.
Speaking of food, often the ship picks up local produce and supplies at various ports. We saw these large fruit and at first thought they might be a type of guava. We took one back to the room and cut it open. It was obviously not one though. We asked to find that it was a type of Peruvian quince.
