Day 36 - This first image is of a very substantial, old building across the street. I'm vaguely interested in architecture, but not very knowledgeable. This building has a decidedly different window treatment on each floor. I've often seen this in cities, but I don't know when this was a fad. Also, I was unable to create a good enough Google search to give me a proper answer. Buenos Aires does seem filled with interesting, formerly grande, historic buildings.
I wondered if this photo from our balcony would be the only one for the day. You see, it rained last night and remained quite cloudy this morning. The wind was taken from my sails, so to speak, as I'd been recently bragging about the beginning of summer in Buenos Aires. The day's high temperature barely got to 21°C or 70°F. I felt unable to taunt others with stories of sun or heat. We didn't go out in the morning.
Yet now that it's late afternoon, the conditions are looking up. We even got up the gumption to run to our nearby supermarket. I'm not sure what will be open on Christmas day here. As well as a few groceries and a couple of beers, I ended up with another image for this blog post.
