Tuesday has been set aside for packing. Yesterday, I needed to go to Lifelabs for some blood work, and tomorrow I shall visit our family doctor to talk about them.
On Thursday, we run to get COVID antigen tests and call an Uber for a ride to the airport in the evening. We fly to Toronto and then onward to Ft. Lauderdale. Our cruise port was switched to Miami because the facilities are packed.
So today is all about putting stuff for four months into our suitcases. We end up in Argentina on December 20th, the day before summer officially begins in the southern hemisphere. However, a few days prior to that we'll be visiting penguin sanctuaries in the Falklands and thusly need to bring along heavy clothes too!
We know from past experience that almost every need can be met by buying things in the countries we visit. However, it's hard not to overpack; at least, compared to how we used to travel when we were younger. Is there a relationship between one's age and the amount of luggage one feels the need to haul around?
