I've never really paid much attention to my tires as the vehicle has traveled so few kilometers. I knew my Kona EV came with factory-standard, low-rolling-resistance tires. I did not ever bother to read what the recommended air pressure was.
I rolled into the downtown Petro Canada station and put my $2 coin in order to get air. It's probably been years since the air was free. I don't mind a charge as there's a cost to providing an air compressor for the public. However, the pump didn't run long enough for me to get to all four tires!
That was frustrating. I didn't have any more coins and I still needed more pressure in both front tires.
My fancy, electronic tire gauge worked swimmingly but I decided to run the car to see what the dash reported in each. So, I happened by an uptown station and waited behind an older woman being helped by a stranger. She put in an additional toonie ($2 coin) but managed to finish and drive away quickly.
I used her left-over minutes to get all four to the exact 36 psi recommendation.
