What's Up, Doc?

This afternoon, I visited my doctor and he renewed my prescriptions and gave me a lab requisition.  Dr. Huang also gave me a jab to prevent tetanus. Jay remembered that it'd been at least ten years since we had our shots. As we spend most winters running around tropical destinations wearing footwear of mere sandals or less, it makes sense to keep up to date. 

   

I had been thinking that we no longer have our little, yellow booklets from the WHO. When we worked in the Middle East in the 1980s, we used to keep track of immunizations for tetanus, yellow fever, cholera, and meningitis. 

People who avoid vaccinations are stupid conspiracy theorists or misplaced souls ignorant about science. Those people never needed booklets but it's a shame that some are no longer alive today.
