We were last in Denmark six years ago this month. We took a cruise so that we could visit cities in Scandinavia and the Russian port of St. Petersburg. Copenhagen, Denmark's capital, was our starting and ending point. Two, full pages about our Princess cruise itinerary and related information were posted in right this blog: Baltic Cruise - June 2016. Jay snapped this photo of me on the day before boarding.
Interestingly, exactly a month from today, we should arrive in Copenhagen once again. Just as last time, we are headed to Denmark in order to board a cruise ship. This time, we will not set sail eastward. Instead, we will journey back to North America on what Holland America calls, its 18-Day Viking Passage.
We thought it a reasonable way to explore Iceland as we visit four different ports. On my birthday on the 23rd, we'll be on our second day in the city of Reykjavík. Hopefully, the weather will be nice for a few stops in Greenland too. It has also been many years since we saw Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, so we were attracted to this itinerary. We fly from Boston to Vancouver on the day of our disembarkation.
