Firstly, our Turkish Air return flights' timings on the last day of the month changed, by five minutes. That was informative, I guess.
Secondly, we also had just arranged for summer, one-way tickets to Copenhagen, so we did expect several confirmations. Our flights through Frankfurt and subsequent Holland America cruise should put us in Reykjavík on my birthday! I love being a Leo on the sign's first day. The height of summer in the northern hemisphere is a great time to celebrate one's existence.
Lastly, as well, Emirates was already ready for us to check-in for Tuesday morning's flights to Dubai as the first step in our spring return. Jay's sisters will be flying with us and returning home as we start heading to Turkey for a longish stopover. Istanbul had more winter weather yesterday?
We never let the COVID mess keep us grounded, but the extent of today's messaging from Expedia did seem a little exuberant.
Jay and I stayed in Dubai for a month on the way through to Sri Lanka this winter. This photo is, of course, in front of the tallest building in the world and was taken on November 22nd. It'll be interesting to show Jay's sisters around the city we lived in for the first half of the 1990s.
