Day 87 - Today, we went into town to buy some groceries. There's a local tuk-tuk driver we telephone. He delivers some pre-school kids to Montessori school late and generally is available at 10:15 am. We had him drop us off in front of the Co-op Supermarket. Of the four main grocery stores, I find this the most interesting place to shop. It isn't the largest but a lot of different products are packed into the small space. It is usually busier than its competitors.
You cannot tell by the small photo, but it was packed this morning. In fact, downtown Minuwangoda was just about as crowded as we've ever seen it.
We always manage to buy quite a lot. Today we had four large bags. We returned home by using the PickMe app and waited just a few minutes for another tuk-tuk to arrive. Getting the two of us and the four shopping bags into the back seat took a little effort.
