Wait. There's more to tell about them. Each Sri Lankan dog has a place, even if it's not with a family. For example, there are train station Sri Lankan dogs. Others might be Buddhist temple Sri Lanka dogs. There are Sri Lankan beach dogs as well as Sri Lanka bus station dogs. We always spot Sri Lankan dogs when we are near government offices and those sleeping in one lane of all two-lane, rural highways when we are on a road trip.
This dog belongs to the group of Sri Lankan intersection dogs. This one occasionally chases vehicles but that tires him out. So, he's usually found sleeping near a pedestrian crossing, half in the lane at the closest traffic lights. I think he enjoys his life there.
I snapped these photos today when we were walking to a Cargill's supermarket. It is a pleasure being in town as it is very easy to pick up items. I think I'm a city guy. Consequently, I'm apt to meet more Sri Lankan intersection dogs in the future.
