Over the past year, COVID-19 had temporarily shut down most of our trip planning and research.
However, since we got one advertising email earlier in the week, we've been thinking a lot about how neat it'd be to take a European river cruise. We've cruised on the high seas probably more days than anyone else we know. Yet, I think the smaller boats on European rivers, with a new destination each day, would be a great way to see some sights. (It's sort of known that most of the passengers are in their 60s or older, so we would now, sort of, fit in.) We've only ever been as far east as Budapest in Eastern Europe and we never spent much time in but a few German cities. So this would be one hell of an itinerary.
Doing this for my birthday next summer would make for quite an exciting experience and epic voyage for us.
