We had a normal shopping day and were able to get reasonably-priced salmon. I love being in British Columbia during summers for the explosion of local food. We have had quite a great cherry season and the blueberries keep on coming ... The Okanagan late summer fruit is arriving now. Corn on the cob must have done relatively well as the prices are pretty reasonable.
Speaking of food, today was our annual strata (condo) BBQ. We had none last summer because of COVID-restrictions, so it was nice to get back to an August tradition. We've lived here for 23 years and this event is one of the only chances to meet the new folks who have moved into either of the towers. There are five apartments per floor but we do not often meet up except for an occasional elevator ride.
