There is a whole lot of remaining work. As I've decided to scan at 600 dpi, it is going to take a long time to get them all turned into jpg files and uploaded to Flickr. However, it now seems like a humanly possible aspiration. I will need to frequently grab a pile and process them. There is no deadline other than it'd be nice to get 'em done this summer.
Today, I took out one album. It contained about 90 photographs taken in December of 1985. I was working in Saudi Arabia and had already accrued enough leave for a trip back to the US. Inside the album, these were listed:
- Copenhagen, Denmark
- Seattle at Lynne and Joel's
- Cross-Country in the Stationwagon
- New Hampshire for Christmas
Here is one example from each of the four sections:
It's nice to be able to share them now. They really exist presently because of the fact they're digital. The only reason you can see them here is due to them being files. To drive that point home, I have happily thrown away the original paper copies already!
