We never seemed to get to the real beach during our whole week here. Each time we were out, we spent time in the interesting Centro and ended up at Olas Atlas, the small beach in front of the old town.
So, today, we walked north to the long section of what tourists come for. It took about fifteen minutes from this apartment. We didn't venture far past the South Beach area, but one could definitely see WAY up the beach. It is usually gearing up for huge hordes of tourists for Easter Week. Also, a lot of spring-breakers are usually headed this way at this time of year. COVID-precautions have kept everyone at bay, figuratively even if quite the opposite literally.
It was comforting watching the sun sink slowly into the Pacific Ocean. To us, this feels right. As soon as the sun was out of view, coolness came.
